2026 Bicycle Sundays! Since 1974\, Westchester County reside nts have been enjoying the popular Bicycle Sundays program. It opens a 6.5 -mile stretch of the historic Bronx River Parkway to bicyclists\, skaters\ , joggers\, and walkers on a series of Sundays throughout the warmer weath er months each year. Bicycle Sundays is one of Westchester’s longest-runni ng and popular recreational programs.

\nDuring Bicy cle Sundays\, the parkway is open exclusively to non-motorized bicyclists\ , scooters and in-line skaters\, e-bike class 1 only\, plus walkers and jo ggers. Many points of entry and exit are along the way. from Exit 22 at th e Westchester County Center to Exit 4 at Scarsdale Road in Yonkers. The ro und-trip distance is 13 miles. The road is closed to automobiles in that s tretch of parkway. Admission is free and free parking will be available in the East Lot at the Westchester County Center.
