Manhattan Brass Quintet Performs Live at Edgewood School

On Wednesday, October 16th, Edgewood students enjoyed their first Cultural Arts Assembly. The Edgewood PTA funded the visit from the Manhattan Brass Quintet, which shared a variety of musical pieces from classical to modern which feature brass instruments. The performers explained the origins and special features of each instrument, as well as the background of the music they performed. Edgewood music teacher, Lisa Forte noted, "As their music teacher, I am always thrilled when our students have the opportunity to experience a high quality live performance. For some children, it's almost magical; for others, there are personal connections. Either way, everyone leaves with a new memory that ignites rich conversation and creativity in the music room!"
