BOT to Review Preservation Laws: Demolitions Continue - Plus Sales and Featured Listings

The Village Board will meet on Tuesday, January 9 at 6:30 to begin discussion of Scarsdale's Historic Preservation laws and to review relevant chapters of the historic preservation codes of Bedford and the Village of Mamaroneck.

While the Board of Trustees is reconsidering the code, the reconstituted Committee for Historic Preservation is still reviewing applications for demolitions. Their next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 8:00 p.m. in Village Hall to consider the following properties:

23 Broadmoor Road built in 1930 (previously approved in 2013)
22 Bradford Road built in 1928
87 Griffen Road built in 1951
6 Mayflower Road built in 1950

Meanwhile, builders have filed an application to build a new house at 26 Cooper Road to be considered by the Board of Architectural Review on January 8, 2018. The Committee for Historic Preservation previously voted to save this house, but their decision was overturned by the Board of Trustees and it will now be demolished.
