Committee for Historic Preservation to Consider Application to Demolish 62.3% of a 1919 Colonial on Park Road

Both the left and right sides of 54 Park Road are already gone.New owners of a large Colonial at 54 Park Road have filed an application to demolish 62.3% of the home, which was built in 1919. Their application will be considered at a meeting of the Committee for Historic Preservation on October 23, but strangely the work is already being done.

We drove by and noticed that the house appears to be gutted, and extensions on both the right and left sides of the house have already been demolished. We learned that they had originally intended to renovate 30-40% of the house but when they began the work they found that the house was more damaged than it originally appeared.

Also on the agenda for October 23 is the demolition of a dollhouse at 16 Ross Road.
