Another Home Sale Tops $5 Million

This week we saw the second home sale of the year to top $5mm. 45 Colby Lane, located on 1.26 acres on a cul-de-sac in Heathcote, is over 8,000 square feet and has been renovated with a Christopher Peacock kitchen and a pool with cabana. The home sold for $5,200,000 making it the second biggest sale of the year after 12 Reimer Road, a comparably sized house that sold for $5,278,750 in June. 

Why did this home command the price? Realtors surmise it was a combination of good timing, stunning renovations that produced a move-in quality home and a lovely pool, which are much in demand this year.

In other news, a hearing of an appeal to the Scarsdale Board of Trustees to overrule the Committee for Historic Preservation’s decision to save a historic home at 11 Dolma Road has been rescheduled from December 3, 2020 to Thursday February 4, 2021 at 5:30 pm.A kitchen by Christopher Peacock at 45 Colby Lane.
