Rooted in Stories: Connecting Scarsdale Through Personal Histories

Rooted in Stories invites you to become a storyteller, interviewer, and historian. Talk with a family member or someone who has shaped your life. Ask about a memorable moment, an unexpected challenge, or an experience that changed them. Then record and share their story with our community. Open to students entering Grades 5–12 this September.

Curated and displayed in the Teen Room by Teen Advisory Board member Emma Florence, selected stories will be collected into a physical collage/scrapbook display, creating a living archive of Scarsdale's memories. Each story will also be paired with a historical fiction recommendation that echoes its themes, time period, or ideas, showing how literature and real lives illuminate one another.

How to Participate
-Complete the Google Form (bit.ly/3TsRzSs) or
-Pick up a Rooted in Stories packet in the Teen Room, then return your completed packet to the white drop box.
