Over 1,000 Scarsdale Middle School students participated in the annual League of Women Voters of Scarsdale Mock Election on Monday November 2, 2026. By a 3-1 margin, middle schoolers voted for Democratic candidates.
Students received a voter guide last week with information from the League of Women Voters ‘Vote 411’ to learn about all the offices and candidates. Scarsdale Middle School social studies teachers discussed the voter guide with the students and encouraged them to share the guide with their families at home to continue the discussion about the candidates. On Monday, students voted for all the county, state, and congressional candidates.
Here are the results of the voting:

Last week, eighth graders participated in Civics Jeopardy, similar to “Jeopardy.” The trivia game was fast-paced, fun and educational. It is designed to educate middle school-aged children about national, state and local civics, particularly during election years. Students compete in teams to answer questions from subject-matter categories such as Current Issues, the U.S. Government, Campaigns and Elections, the Candidates, the Electoral Process and Presidential History.
The League of Women Voters of Scarsdale would like to thank the Scarsdale Middle School Social Studies Department and the parent and League volunteers for their time and enthusiasm helping with the Civics Jeopardy Game and the Mock Election.
