Scarsdale Travel Softball 10U Raiders Cap Standout Summer with Second Straight Championship Appearance

For the second consecutive summer, the Scarsdale Raiders 10U summer softball team found themselves playing for a championship. After an impressive season, the Raiders powered through the Greater Hudson Valley Softball League playoffs-winning three consecutive games to earn their place in the finals, hosted this year in Ardsley. Their playoff run culminated in a thrilling title game against North Riverdale, one of the division's strongest teams.

The championship proved every bit as competitive as the teams themselves. Scarsdale battled until the final strike, ultimately just falling short in a nail-biting 5-4 finish. The Raiders were awarded silver medals and lauded by their opponents as fierce competitors. The close finish capped an impressive summer defined by teamwork, determination and contributions from every player across the roster. In a division featuring 27 teams, the Raiders finished the season in second place, continuing a remarkable two-year run for Scarsdale's travel softball players.

Led by head coaches Dave, Nick and Chris Scagnelli, the 10U Raiders have now reached the championship game in back-to-back seasons. After capturing the championship in 2025, the program returned to the finals in 2026 with a group of new and returning players who continued that tradition of success.

The 2026 Scarsdale Raiders 10U team players include: Arya Fraina, Ashlynn Sipprelle, Avery Feldman, Clara Bliss, Julia DeMartini, Lillian Bliss, Madeline Cronin, Madeline McDermott, Malula Schuerlein, Mary Nietupski, Rachel DeMartini, Rory DeLucia, Simran Dhiman and Sonya Rosenblatt.

Another unforgettable season is in the books for Scarsdale's girls of summer!
