Third and Fourth Grade Scarsdale Youth Football Team: Westchester Champions

The Scarsdale Youth Football Rec program is a member of the 16 team Westchester Youth Football League. This fall Scarsdale’s 3rd/4th grade team went 8-0 and were crowned champions of the League. Over the entire season the Little Raiders scored 156 points and gave up only 20 points.
The team began practice in late August and capped the season with a resounding 30-0 win over Harrison in the WYFL championship game on Sunday November 7th at the SHS turf field. In between, the boys learned the basics of football from a dedicated coaching staff of Dads and volunteers.
The boys on the championship team, of which, over half the team had never played tackle football previously were:
Running Backs: Peter Brown, John Badurski, Alex Halyard, Jason Rothenberg, Hudson Fix, Zac Gottlieb.
Quarterback: Jack Wetzstein
Defensive Secondary: Jay Anfang, Teddy Lipkind, Gray Fix, Alex Zhang
Lineman: Bennett Schildhouse, Sebastian Maffei, Aric Lewis, Oran Bandsma, Brandon Perla, Thomas Kirwan, Elliot Roseman
Defensive Ends and Linebackers: Zac Gottlieb, Harry Forschner, Nolan Groark
Kicker: Thomas “The Golden Toe” Kirwan
Coaches: Offensive Coordinator Paul Fix - SHS class of 2000, Line Coach Bob McCann - Class of 1979, Quality Control Coach Eric Lewis, Defensive Coordinator Todd Leone - SHS class of 1981
