Free Concert Thursday in Chase Park

Band Director Alan Hollander will lead the 75-member Westchester Band in their third concert of the summer season in Chase Park on Thursday July 8th at 8:00pm. The theme for this concert is Great Men In Music featuring the music of Beethoven, Glenn Miller, Frank Sinatra, George Gershwin and others. Along with light classics, Dixieland and big band selections there will be a "mystery" tune. Guess the name of the song and win a prize donated by one Scardale's merchants. The band is celebrating its 41st anniversary of presenting free concerts and is sponsored by the Scarsdale Department of Recreation and Friends of the Westchester Band. In the event of inclement weather the location will be Edgemont High School on White Oak Lane.
