Eye Gallery of Scarsdale celebrated the opening of their spacious new store on Boniface Circle at a ribbon cutting reception on the evening of May 1. Friends, relatives and customers turned out to tour the stunning space, try on designer frames, sip champagne and snack.
The arched entry with large glass windows, fluorescent lights and bold signage made a beautiful backdrop for the Rosen family, Village officials and well-wishers to pose for a photo on a balmy evening in May.
The occasion marked the end of a lengthy renovation and the beginning of a new chapter for the store that originally opened in 1979.
Owner Michael Rosen invites you to stop in an try on the latest in eyewear from top designers, enjoy a complimentary coffee and schedule an eye exam.
Mental Health Awareness
I Am More Scarsdale has announced its Mental Health Awareness fundraising campaign in partnership with Sprout Society, scheduled to run throughout the entire month of May. I Am More is dedicated to raising funds to help support Sprout Society’s mission to end loneliness.
In 2018, I Am More Co-Founder Abbey Solomon’s beloved nephew tragically passed away. Founded in his honor, Sprout Society is growing every day to connect more and more people so that they don’t have to go through life’s hard moments alone.
Sprout Society provides evidence-based solutions to combat the loneliness epidemic. Through their services, they connect people one-on-one, in peer groups, and with experts as part of the larger mental health ecosystem. The stark statistics reveal that 57% of young adults who live with depression do not receive support services, depression affects over 18 million adults (one in ten) in any given year, and 27% of young people ages 19 to 29 report feeling very or fairly lonely.
Join I Am More Scarsdale all month long as we support mental resilience by raising awareness and supporting Sprout Society.
Here's how you can contribute to this vital cause:
Visit I Am More Scarsdale (6 Spencer Place, Scarsdale Village) throughout the month of May. With a $20 minimum donation, you can "Spin the Wheel" for a chance to win two $250 gift cards and additional prizes throughout the month.
On Thursday, May 16th, I Am More will be hosting a trunk show, featuring the latest denim trends from ASKK NY, as well as handbags from LEMIZ, both women-founded businesses, with a percentage of proceeds benefiting Sprout Society.
