Police Report: Trash, IT Problems, Buzzing Pipes and Cat Custody Dispute

XmaslightsHelp: A Dolma Road resident reported that a process server was at his door, refusing to leave and allegedly threatening to break down the door Dec. 23. Police arrived on scene and stood by while the process server delivered legal documents to the resident.

A resident slipped and fell on ice while walking his dog in New Rochelle Dec. 24. Police notified New Rochelle police.

A resident walked into headquarters to report that he could not access his work email Dec. 24. He thought it was related to an issue of identity theft. Police thought it was an IT problem.

Noises
A Crawford Lane resident reported a “buzzing” sound in the house Dec. 26, possibly related to water pipes. Police notified the Water Department.

Suitcase
A suitcase containing clothing was found on the platform of the train station Dec. 24. Police notified MTA police.

Cat
A woman reported that she was attempting to drop off a cat at her ex-husband’s house in the Village, but her ex-husband was refusing to take possession of the cat Dec. 23. Police explained it was a civil matter.

Dogs
Police reunited two loose dogs with their owners on Dec. 27.

Garbage
An Edgewood School custodian reported a woman was dumping garbage in school bins, causing them to overflow Dec. 28.

License plate
A Secor Rd. man reported that he was accumulating charges on his EZ Pass account that were not related to him Dec. 26. Apparently, another car was using his license plate number. The man was currently in possession of both of his license plates.

Cars and roadways
On Dec. 24, a car was blocking a Walworth Ave. driveway. The driver was at Hitchcock Presbyterian Church. Police asked the driver’s parent to ask the driver to move the car.

Police notified Verizon about a fallen wire on Clarence Rd. Dec. 26.

Police called a tow for a car stuck in snow at Post and Fenimore roads at 3:30 a.m., Dec. 27.

Village code
Illegally posted signs were discarded from Mamaroneck Rd. Dec. 22.

Lost and found
A Village worker found a driver’s license and debit card in the Village and gave it to police who contacted a family member of the owner Dec. 22. The owner picked up the items from headquarters.
