Stolen Range Rover, Unlicensed Moped Driver and a Dog Bite

The buyer of the scratching post allegedly picked up the item, without paying for it. A friend of the woman reported the matter to police.

A dark gray Range Rover Sport was stolen from a Harvest Dr. driveway overnight and reported Aug. 15.

Gas line
A contractor struck a gas line on Innes Rd. Aug. 14. Police and firefighters stood by for Con Edison.

Cars and roadways
On Aug. 11, police notified the highway department to pick up a dead animal from Post Rd.
On Aug. 12, a Continental Rd. woman reported it took her an extra 45 minutes to get home due to nearby construction and incorrect directions from workers blocking roadways.Police advised workers on scene.
A driver reported that local paving crews at Mamaroneck and Colonial roads would not let him get to his house Aug. 12.
Verizon was informed of a low-hanging wire on Windmill Circle Aug. 13.
A disabled car was towed from Mamaroneck Rd. Aug. 15.
Police notified Con Edison about a tree branch hanging in an electrical wire on Copper Beech Ln. Aug. 15.
A 15-year-old boy sustained a broken wrist and was transported to the hospital following a moped accident at Griffen Ave. and Mamaroneck Rd. Aug. 15. Police explained regulations regarding underage and unlicensed use of vehicles.
Verizon was informed of a low-hanging wire on Church Ln. Aug. 16.
A water main break occurred on Circle Rd. Aug. 16. The water department was informed.
A tree limb knocked out power on Drake Rd. Aug. 16. Police notified Con Edison.

Civil matters
On Aug. 10, a man walked into headquarters advising that he wished to take the Church to small claims court. Patrol advised him that it was a civil matter. The man then went to the court to discuss his options.

On Aug. 12, a Brite Ave. resident reported an incident with a person from whom he was buying a car over the internet. After purchasing the vehicle, both parties agreed to meet at the DMV to clear up a title issue. The seller then blocked the buyer and could not be reached again. The Brite Ave. buyer was then able to contact the original owner who agreed to obtain a new title to sign over to the buyer. The buyer requested a police report for documentation purposes.

Teens
On Aug. 10, police dispersed a group of teens from Scarsdale Ave.
On Aug. 15, police dispersed a group of teens playing basketball from Boulevard.

Dogs
On Aug. 14, a Stratton Rd. dog owner reported two Heathcote Rd. dogs ran out of their yard and bit his dog.
On Aug. 15, a resident reported losing a pit bull dog in the area of Fenimore Rd.

Village code
On Aug. 10, police asked a party coordinator at Fenway Golf Club to lower the music volume at an event after nearby residents complained.

Police removed and discarded illegally posted signs on Fox Meadow Rd. and Morris Lane Aug.13.

A child was riding his bike on the high school track Aug. 14. Police advised the child's mother that bikes were not allowed on the track.

Lost and found
A Lincoln Rd. man reported one of his car's license plates has been missing since June. He made the report on Aug. 10.

A passerby brought a found wallet to headquarters Aug. 16.

Firefighters
On Aug. 10, firefighters opened a Garth Rd. business so paramedics could help an employee who was down on the ground inside.

Firefighters helped paramedics with a Brewster Rd. patient Aug. 11.

On Aug. 14, firefighters were dispatched to a Hillview Rd. house because water was leaking from a broken gauge fitting at the water main entrance to the basement. Firefighters shut the main valve in the basement to isolate the leak. They swept some standing water into the sewer trap area. They advised the resident to call a plumber for repair.
