See through gates were replaced with wooden doors at the "Leave It" shed after it was vandalized.Burglary: Village staff reported that someone broke into the "Take it or Leave it" shed at the Village sanitation yard on Ramsey Rd. Sept. 25.
Criminal mischief
On Sept. 23, a Fenimore Rd. resident complained that someone came onto her property and moved a camera and the next day, a window at the property was found broken.
Disorderly conduct
On Sept. 24, a skinny man with a yellow hat was reportedly yelling and cursing in the library. He left before police arrived.
Noise
A Village resident alleged she was hearing noises inside her house Sept. 26. She said she was being contacted by "radio frequency groups," and she was concerned for someone who lived with her. Police offered to check the interior of her house, but she declined.
Welfare check
A mother asked police to check the welfare of her children, who were staying with her ex-husband on Meadow Rd. Sept. 26. The children were not at home with their dad. However, the dad indicated that they were fine but away.
Police checked an address during a power outage because Con Edison thought a resident needed life-saving equipment there Sept. 27. The resident said no one at the address needed life-saving equipment there. That was most likely a need belonging to the previous resident of the house, who had passed away.
Help
A bedridden man on Fenimore Rd. attempted to make a local phone call and accidentally dialed 911 Sept. 27. He declined any medical attention.

The "Take It" Shed, open only on Saturdays.
Police responded to a report of an open parking meter on East Parkway Sept. 22.
Police stood by while a driver waited for a tow for his disabled car on Post Rd. Sept. 22.
Police put a loose manhole cover back in place on Lockwood Rd. Sept. 23.
Police helped jump start a stalled car on Weaver St. Sept. 23.
A car was repossessed from a Mamaroneck Rd. address Sept. 24.
Police called a tow for a disabled car on Post Rd. Sept. 24.
On Sept. 25, police asked the drivers of work vans on Woodland Place to move those vehicles to increase traffic flow.
Police informed Verizon about a fallen wire on Brambach Rd. Sept. 25.
Police removed a fallen branch from Post Rd. Sept. 25.
Police noted a dead animal on Ferncliff Rd. Sept. 26. Police informed the highway department.

Village code
A Brambach Rd. resident complained of a "Children at Play" sign placed in the right of way on her street Sept. 21. Police moved the sign onto its owner's property and advised both parties of Village code.
Police removed and discarded illegally posted signs from the Village right of way on Seneca Rd. Sept. 22.
A Fox Meadow Rd. man was allegedly pumping water onto a neighbor's yard Sept. 24. The pumping had stopped before police arrived to investigate. They issued the accused a warning.
On Sept. 25, neighbors complained of noise coming from a worker's radio on Hillview Dr. Police asked the workers to be mindful of noise.
Animals
Police reunited a loose dog with its owner on Lockwood Rd. Sept. 21.
The sanitation department was informed about a dead animal on Palmer Ave. Sept. 22.
Firefighters
Firefighters checked a carbon monoxide alarm in a Manor Ln. house Sept. 21. Investigation revealed that a classic car started near the house caused it.
An outlet inside a Carstensen Rd. house was smoking Sept. 22. Investigation showed that the plastic cover of a plug had also melted. Firefighters shut power to the outlet and suggested calling an electrician.
On Sept. 23, a buzzing sound inside a Wakefield Rd. house was traced back to a faulty doorbell chime. Firefighters disconnected the wires and suggested calling an electrician.
Firefighters assisted a Brite Ave. resident who had fallen inside their house Sept. 23.
A generator was leaking fuel in a Brewster Rd. garage Sept. 24. Firefighters removed the fuel canister and suggested calling for service.
A dry plumbing trap in an Overhill Rd. basement was releasing an odor Sept. 24. Firefighters filled the trap with water to block the odor.
On Sept. 25, a truck caught fire on Ridgecrest West. Firefighters used water from a hydrant to extinguish the fire. Firefighters overhauled the truck and towed it from the area.
