Look Who Is Running for the Citizen's Nominating Committee

voteThe election for the Citizen’s Nominating Committee is just weeks away. Voting will be held at Scarsdale Village Hall on Tuesday November 15th, 2011, from 7 - 9:30 A.M. and 2 - 9 P.M.

Qualified voters must be18 years of age or older, a Village resident for 30 days prior to the election and a U.S. citizen. You do not need to be a NYS registered voter to vote in the Citizens Nominating Committee Election.

If you won’t be in town on the 15th, or for physical reasons cannot get to the polls, you can vote by absentee ballot. Absentee ballots will be available on the Procedure Committee web site at www.ScarsdaleProcedureCommittee.org, at the Scarsdale Public Library and at Scarsdale Village Hall or can be requested from Michelle Lichtenberg, Chair, The Procedure Committee, (914-725-6545). Absentee ballots must be received by the Scarsdale Post Office by 5PM Monday, November 14th.

The ballot will include the names of the candidates as well as proposed amendments to the Non-Partisan resolution. You can see them on the Procedure committee website and we will also publish them on the site next week for your consideration.

Below are the bios of the residents who are running for the Nominating Committee. Each of Scarsdale’s five districts will elect two nominators, with the exception of Greenacres, where three slots are open.
