Fatality at Hartsdale Train Station

New information has emerged about the 48- year-old man who was killed at the Hartsdale Train Station on Wednesday June 10. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene and appears to have jumped in front of a southbound, non-passenger train that was passing through Hartsdale station with crewmembers on board. A witness who did not identify himself said he was on the platform at the time and believes it was a suicide. The Journal News is reporting that the man was a Scarsdale resident -- learn more here.
At 5 pm on Wednesday, it appeared that the police were waiting to remove the body from underneath the train which was stopped in Hartsdale.
Service was delayed during the Wednesday night commute, though trains did stop at Hartsdale.
