Java Crave on Garth Road

Starbucks has a new competitor in Scarsdale. Serious coffee drinkers have already welcomed Java Crave Caffé to Garth Road. The Caffé, which is owned by the same folks who run the popular "Slave to the Grind" in Bronxville offers an appealing selection of organic coffees, both caffeinated and de-caf ,hot or iced. As I write this I am sipping on an iced Hazelnut decaf with milk that could not be more delicious. This week, they were serving iced coffee in many flavors including Columbian, Hazelnut, French Vanilla, Coconut, Sugar Cookies, Coffee Cake, Red Velvet and Oatmeal Cookie. Their sign says that all flavored coffees are made with natural ingredients and contain no synthetic syrups.

The big espresso machine is impressive and the roomy shop offers tables where you can chat with a friend or use their free wifi to get some work done. During the morning hours, the caffé also sells fresh baked cheese danish, croissants, and scones to enjoy with your coffee or tea.... Try the Chai tea latte!

They are open seven days a week until 9 pm.
