On Friday May 15, Wilson & Son Jewelers presented the Scarsdale Rotary with a check for $3,250 in honor of Scarsdale's 325th Anniversary.
Announcing the gift to the Rotary, Wilson & Son said, โTheir dedication to making a meaningful difference, both locally and globally, is truly inspiring. Through their fundraising efforts, they provide scholarships to local high school students and grants to community nonprofits and international projects. Their 30-year tradition of hosting a Christmas Party and providing Thanksgiving Dinner Baskets continues to uplift the community, while delivering winter clothing and partnering with local organizations helps keep neighbors warm and fed across Westchester. Their impact also reaches across borders, helping those in need of clean water, education, peacebuilding, and disease prevention. Thank you for your commitment to serving both local and global communities! And to those who sent in their nominations, your votes uplift our community, so keep them coming!โ
The Rotary is the fourth honoree in a year of giving to Scarsdale organizations. The Rotary will use these funds to offset club administrative expenses, and allow them to use donations obtained at their Annual Gala for our charitable endeavors, as they always do.
Earlier checks, each for $3,250, were presented to the Friends of the Scarsdale Library in January, to Scarsdale/Edgemont Family Counseling Services in February, and to the Junior League of Westchester in March. The May winner was The Hoff Barthelson School of Music.
