Restoring the Hutchinson River

The Hutchinson River is the ten mile long waterway that forms within the vicinity of Scarsdale and New Rochelle, traveling southward and serving as part of the demarcating line between Eastchester, New Rochelle, Mount Vernon, and Pelham. The Hutchinson River Parkway follows its route until it enters the Bronx and empties into Eastchester Bay and Long Island Sound. It has been an important part of Westchester dating back to Indigenous peoples. Join your friends and neighbors and the Hutchinson River Restoration Project team to learn more about this local watershed and the ongoing work to preserve the Hutchinson River for current and future generations. They will present some of the history of the river, showcase its natural beauty and ecological importance, and give a call to action for protecting its health.

The Hutchinson River Restoration Project is dedicated to restoring and enhancing the health of the Hutchinson River for current and future generations. They strive to reduce pollution, improve the river's water quality, promote access for all, and protect its wildlife and habitats. By working together, they believe we can create a healthier and more vibrant river for all to enjoy.
