The League of Women Voters of Scarsdale urges all eligible voters to vote in the general election on November 4th. The offices up for election this year include: U.S. House of Representatives, Governor, Lieutenant Governor, State Senate and State Assembly. In addition, there are three proposed amendments to the New York State Constitution on the ballot. For information on the candidates, visit www.Vote411.org and for information on the proposed amendments click here. YOU NEED TO TURN THE BALLOT OVER to vote on the ballot proposals!
All households with registered voters should have received in the mail a 2014 Voters Guide from the League of Women Voters of Westchester County. If you did not receive one, they are available at the Scarsdale Public Library and Village Hall. Please note that there is an error on page 33 of the Guide. For the November 4th elections, there are TWO Family Court seats up for election, not one. The Voters Guide states that you should choose one of the candidates for Family Court Justice. This is the error. It should read "Candidates (choose 2)". The online version of this Guide, available at vote411.org, has been corrected. The LWVS apologizes for any confusion.
