2026 Bicycle Sundays! Since 1974, Westchester County residents have been enjoying the popular Bicycle Sundays program. It opens a 6.5-mile stretch of the historic Bronx River Parkway to bicyclists, skaters, joggers, and walkers on a series of Sundays throughout the warmer weather months each year. Bicycle Sundays is one of Westchester’s longest-running and popular recreational programs.

Event Information
The series runs on the following dates and times:

May 3, 10, 17 and 31 (10 a.m. - 2 p.m.)
June 7, 14, 21 and 28 (8 a.m. - noon)
July 12 and 26 (8 a.m. - noon)
Sept. 13, 20 and 27 (10 a.m. - 2 p.m.)
Oct. 4 (10 a.m. - 2 p.m.)

Bicycle Sundays is presented by Westchester County Parks and sponsored by Westchester Parks Foundation and its partners, through generous donations from co-presenting sponsors NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester and Con Edison, with Danny’s Cycles as the official Bicycle Sponsor.

During Bicycle Sundays, the parkway is open exclusively to non-motorized bicyclists, scooters and in-line skaters, e-bike class 1 only, plus walkers and joggers. Many points of entry and exit are along the way. from Exit 22 at the Westchester County Center to Exit 4 at Scarsdale Road in Yonkers. The round-trip distance is 13 miles. The road is closed to automobiles in that stretch of parkway. Admission is free and free parking will be available in the East Lot at the Westchester County Center.

Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians will be available on Saturday, August 1, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Scarsdale Village Hall, 1001 Post Road, Scarsdale, NY 10583, to inspect car seats, check for proper installation, and provide hands-on guidance to help keep children safe while traveling.
