golfcourseStolen car: A 2019 BMW was reported as stolen from a Richelieu Road driveway overnight from June 27 to June 28.

Car break-in
On June 26, a Post Road resident reported his cell phone was stolen from his unlocked car parked at IHM Church on June 24.

Attempted burglary
An attempted burglary was discovered at a Cushman Road house July 2. The incident caused damage valued at $1,500.

Scam
A Saxon Woods Road man reported he received a text from an unknown party demanding Apple gift cards be sent to the unknown party so the unknown party would not post alleged photos of the man online. The man did not send the unknown party anything of value. Patrol advised the man that this was a scam and to cease all communication with the unknown party.

Domestic dispute
On June 28, police separated a man and a woman having a domestic dispute on the New Rochelle side of Weaver Street and waited for NRPD to arrive.

Welfare check
On June 27, police checked the welfare of a Lyons Road man. His car was not in the driveway; so it was assumed that he went out.

Death
A 97-year-old White Road woman died at home June 29.

Request
A Chesterfield Road man reported, on June 30, that he had received two unusual letters requesting money to start a business. One letter requested $10,000. One letter requested $100,000. The letters promised nothing in return, except the recipient’s gratitude.

Suspicious
On June 30, a Meadow Road resident reported suspicious behavior with people walking around her property. She said two individuals exited a vehicle, while a female driver remained inside the vehicle. After being confronted by the resident, the involved vehicle left the area. Patrol made contact with the female driver of the involved vehicle. She said that they had walked around the residence believing that the new owners had not moved in yet. She was very apologetic.

Civil matters
On June 29, a Nelson Road resident reported an incident with a contractor who received money for work in the fall and never returned to finish the job. Specifically, the resident said the contractor knocked on his door and solicited the work. The resident said he paid in full, $2,000.00, for repairs to be made to his driveway. He was present for the work and observed the contractor fill cracks in the driveway, but he said the contractor has not returned to smooth the surface and apply a coating. While on scene, patrol observed this condition. The resident said he recently contacted the contractor who promised to return later in the week.
The resident also said the contractor has not since returned any calls or messages. Police advised it was a civil matter.

On July 1, Richbell Road neighbors were arguing over the property line. Patrol suggested they reach out to the Scarsdale Building Department to get clarification on the location of the property line. Additionally, patrol suggested either erecting a fence or attempting to handle the matter in civil court if a mutual agreement could not be reached. In the meantime, patrol advised the involved parties to limit contact to avoid conflict.

Cars and roadways
A motorist ran out of gas at Post Road and Boulevard June 26. Police helped push the car into a parking lot and drove the motorist to a gas station to pick up a can of gasoline.

On June 27, a caller complained that a large shrub at the corner of Post and Kingston roads was obstructing a view of the roadways, making it dangerous for drivers. Police called the homeowner and advised trimming back the shrub.

Following a traffic stop for a broken tail light observed on Fenimore Road June 28, police issued the Valhalla driver summonses for a suspended registration, driving without valid insurance and unlicensed driving. The car was towed to the driver’s home, and license plates were removed.
On June 28, a Christie Place woman advised she might have been in an accident in the past but was unsure. She advised that her
Driver’s side mirror was damaged and "hanging" from a prior incident, however when she was arrived home, she observed the glass from the side mirror to be hanging and shattered. The woman could not confirm that she was in an accident or describe another vehicle that she may have collided with. Patrol inspected the side mirror and observed the plastic from the back of the mirror to be missing, which was from a previous incident. Patrol did not see signs of impact or damage from a collision with another vehicle. The woman was advised to contact her auto body shop for repairs.
On June 28, police noticed a parked car with its door ajar in a Mamaroneck Road parking area. Patrol contacted the owner who said he was on a nature walk and is currently positioned 20 minutes away from the location on foot. The owner stated that he is staying with his family who lives in Village. He requested police to close and lock his door.
Police notified Verizon about a loose wire on Secor Road June 29. Later, they taped up the wire.

Police helped a woman find her parked car in Village center June 29.
A truck parked at Crossway field needed to be moved because of the fireworks display June 29. Patrol attempted to make contact with the vehicle owner with negative results. The highway foreman stated that it was ok for the car to remain but wanted to give the driver instructions on how to leave after the lights had been shut off. Patrol left a diagram on the windshield of the truck showing how to safely exit the field.
On June 30, police called a tow for a vehicle that broke down at Drake and Post roads.
On June 30, police removed a fallen wire from Palmer Avenue.
A driver with a flat tire on Heathcote Road was waiting for a parent to bring a spare. It was 2:21 a.m., July 2.

Animals
A loose dog on Sprague Road was reunited with its owner June 26.

On June 29, a caller reported losing her dog, a large poodle mix, at the fireworks display

On July 1, a coyote was reported on Greenacres Avenue.

On July 2, a large bobcat with a bunny in its mouth allegedly passed through a Harvest Drive back yard. Later the bobcat was allegedly seen on Rural Drive.

Village code
On June 28, police removed and discarded an illegally posted sign on Saxon Woods Road.

On July 1, police removed and discarded an illegally posted sign on Brite Avenue. The owner was issued a summons.

Lost and found
On June 29, a department of public works employee found a cell phone on Mamaroneck Road. The owner’s brother-in-law arrived at headquarters to pick up the phone. Police contacted the owner who described the contents of the case, and police released the phone to the brother-in-law.

A passerby found a wallet at the Scarsdale pool and gave it to police who vouchered it for safekeeping June 29.
A Lenox Place woman reported losing her Uruguay passport at home or at her child’s school June 30.

Firefighters
On June 30, firefighters were called because of a strong chlorine-like odor in a Lincoln Road house, with a resident requesting EMS evaluation. The resident explained they were performing maintenance to a back-up battery to a sump pump when they accidentally mixed a bleach solution with the contents of a lead acid battery. This mixture produced a strong odor of chlorine inside the structure and at that point the resident called for FD assistance. The residents were checked by SVAC and refused additional treatment. Firefighters removed the battery from the structure and used an electric fan for ventilation until the odor dissipated.

Firefighters consulted with the Westchester Chief of Special Operations via phone to see about any special considerations that would be required from mixing these two chemicals. Firefighters instructed the resident to dispose of the battery at the Household Material Recovery Facility in Valhalla.

On June 28 and June 30, firefighters helped Con Edison check Gorham Road houses after gas was found at two sewer manholes in the street. Con Edison was ventilating the manholes and addressing the leak. No gas was found in any of the houses that had been checked.

Firefighters assisted with a car accident on Weaver Street June 29.

On July 1, firefighters were dispatched to Morris Lane for smoke detector activation. Upon arrival, crews noted an odor of burnt food. The occupant stated that a beef patty was being microwaved, and the microwave oven "blew up." The occupant noted the food burning and “threw the food out the window.” Negative extension of any fire was confirmed with thermal imaging cameras. No obvious damage to microwave oven was seen. Passive ventilation was utilized to clear residual smoke.

Firefighters assisted with a motorcycle accident on the Bronx River Parkway July 1.

On July 1, firefighters were dispatched to Saxon Woods Road for wires burning with a tree on fire. The nearest structural exposure was 50 feet away. Primary wires were confirmed to be arcing in contact with the tree. Con Edison was notified. One hose line was stretched to extinguish the base of the tree and the neighboring brush fire. A Con Edison technician sleeved multiple primary wires in contact with the tree. The tree and brush fires were extinguished, and the scene was turned over to Con Edison.

On July 1, a tree fell on a golf cart, trapping a golfer, at Hole 15 at Saxon Woods Golf Course July 1. Upon arrival, crews confirmed large tree was on the vehicle, and the vehicle’s roof was compressed down on the golfer. He was complaining of neck and back pain. Westchester County police assisted in providing spine immobilization, while firefighters used chain saws to cut tree limbs and Hurst cutters to remove the vehicle roof and extricate the golfer. The golfer was taken to the hospital by SVAC.

Firefighters assisted Hartsdale firefighters with a structure fire in their jurisdiction July 1.

On July 2, firefighters ventilated a Stratton Road house and stood by for Con Edison after elevated carbon monoxide levels were registered in the house. Later the readings were determined to be false alarms.

fireworks6Arrested: On June 23, after receiving a report of a stolen Kia Sportage, worth $16,000, traveling through the Village, police conducted a traffic stop on Garden and Mamaroneck roads and arrested the driver – Juhunia M. Nichols, 23, of Brooklyn – and the passenger – Shawnton N. Edwards, 22, of Brooklyn. They were each charged with fourth and fifth degree criminal possession of stolen property and unauthorized use of a vehicle. Bail of $1,645and $1,650 were respectively posted and Nichols and Edwards were released on their own recognizance, pending a future court appearance.

Following a car accident at Freightway and Garth Roads June 23, in which one person was transported to the hospital for injuries, police learned one driver had a suspended driver’s license. The driver – Esteban Garcia, 35, of White Plains – was subsequently arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. He was released on cash bail of $1,722. In the accident, Garcia was accused of running a stop sign and turning into another person’s car.

Burglary
A Penn Boulevard house was burglarized while the homeowners were away sometime between June 24 and June 25. Police discovered pry marks around various windows and doors. A safe and its contents were missing.

Identity theft
On June 22, a Weaver Street man reports that, over the past weekend, his American Airlines "A Advantage" account was hacked and multiple hotel rooms were purchased in York, England by a party named "Lewis Richardson." The amount of miles disputed is 37,900, and the value of money disputed is $1,118.

On June 22, a Tunstall Road woman reported someone cashed three fraudulent checks against her account. Two checks were for $5,000. One was for $5,200.

Cars and roadways
On June 19, police removed a fallen wire from Boulevard and notified Verizon.
On June 19, a man reported a dark SUV drove onto his mother’s Dunham Road yard and left tire tracks. The man advised he wanted to handle the matter on his own.
On June 19, a driver advised of a verbal road rage incident that he had been involved in, earlier that day.
A motorcycle without a rear license plate was parked unattended on Clarence Road June 20. Police notified the owner about the plate violation, and the owner said he would rectify the matter and retrieve the motorcycle as soon as possible.
Police put a note on the windshield of an inconveniently parked car on Wildwood Road June 21.
On June 21, police issued a summons to a Larchmont driver using a cell phone while driving on Chase Road.
Police reported a fallen wire on Wayside Lane to Verizon June 21.
Police notified the water department about a dislodged fire hydrant on Popham Road June 23.
Police called a tow for a driver that ran out of gas on Weaver Street June 25.
Four car accidents were officially reported in the Village this week.

Help
A man sleeping on the train platform said he was tired and wanted to catch up on sleep June 23.

A kids’ play tent blew onto a neighbor’s lawn on Woods Lane June 25. Police notified the owner and returned the tent.

Damage
A projectile damaged a garage door June 20. Police were unable to determine if the projectile was something kicked up from landscaping equipment or something else.

Delivery
On June 21, a Stonehouse Road resident reported that lumber was unexpectedly dropped off at his yard.

Kids
Around 2 a.m., June 24, kids were banging on doors on Fox Meadow Road. Police advised the kids of dangers associated with such late-night actions. The kids apologized and left.

Civil matters
Police assisted library employees tell an unruly customer that the customer was banned for the library for three months due to disorderly behavior June 20.

On June 22, a Harwood Court medical professional told police that a woman arrived at his office without an appointment and was causing a disturbance. He stated she was dissatisfied and emotional over work that was done in the past. The professional asked police to inform the woman that she is no longer a patient and is not permitted on the premises in the future. Patrol spoke with the woman who stated she spent a lot of money and was not satisfied with the work. Patrol advised her of the doctor’s wishes and told her to go through legal channels.

On June 24, a Montrose Road resident asked police to document several instances she had with a recently fired babysitter. The sitter allegedly did not return keys and may also have possession of some household items, as per the resident.

A bird was trapped in a Dell Road window well June 24.Police removed the bird and placed it safely on the ground. Soon thereafter, the bird joined a round of robins.

On June 19, a passerby found a ring on Greendale Road and gave it to police.

Firefighters shut water in a Chesterfield Road house to stop a leak, pending the arrival of plumbers June 19.

On June 20, firefighters extinguished two smoldering schoolbooks that had been lit on fire on a path at Red Maple Swamp.

On June 22, firefighters helped open a locked car door to release a child accidentally locked inside on Olmsted Road.

Investigation confirmed that a bullet had entered the window and become lodged in a wall. Police took the bullet into evidence. This matter is under active investigation.

Arrested

On Wednesday afternoon June 7 around 3 pm police received a call from The Ambassador of Scarsdale, an assisted living facility on Saxon Woods Road. The caller said that an employee was threatening to kill another employee so police rushed to the scene. According to police, two kitchen employees got into an argument and one threatened to shoot the other with a gun.

Shortly afterwards, the employee fled on foot down Mamaroneck Road. A description of the suspect was issued and police were able to track him to the Saxon Woods Pool where he was arrested.

However, it turns out that though he threatened to shoot, he never displayed a gun and did not have one when he was arrested. Police also searched his route to see if a gun had been discarded but none was found.

Ultimately Timothy Shawn Crawford of New Rochelle was arrested for menacing in the third degree. He was released pending a 6-14 court date.

Arrest on warrant
Greenburgh police advised they had Jesus M. Rivera, 32, of Long Island City, in custody June 5. Rivera was showing an active arrest from Scarsdale. Police picked him up and processed his arrest in Scarsdale. He was released on his own recognizance with an appearance ticket for Village Justice Court.

Stolen car
A $30,000 2015 Honda Accord car was stolen from an Elm Road driveway overnight June 5 and reported June 6. This same night, numerous car break-ins also occurred on the same street.

Stolen
A contractor reported $4,000 worth of power tools were stolen from his enclosed trailer on Church Lane June 5.

A $700 bicycle, helmet and lock were stolen from East Parkway June 7. The bike had been left at the rack, locked.

Car breaks-ins
On June 6, an Elm Road caller reported an unknown party entered his vehicle in the overnight period 600 and stole the owner's manual, registration card, insurance card and two packs of gum.

On June 6, another Elm Road resident reported a car-break-in around 11:30 pm the previous night. Items said to be missing included the vehicle registration, sunglasses, gum and chips. The complainant advised that multiple residences on Elm Road had their vehicles rummaged through on the same date and time.

A third Elm Road resident also reported a car break the morning of June 6. This resident stated that she had become complacent and left both vehicles unlocked. The only item taken was a garage door opener.

Items were stolen out of a parked car on East Parkway June 7. Items included boxing equipment, duffle bags and backpacks, a laptop computer and personal items.

On June 8, an Elm Road resident reported her car was broken into on June 5. Stolen from the vehicle included the registration, insurance card, manual, EZ pass, five dollars in quarters, a detached garage opener and a NYC parking pass.

On June 8, items were stolen from a parked car on Boniface Circle. These included a rain jacket, three pairs of shoes and a travel bag.

A car â€s windows were shattered on Chesterfield Road, and an iPad and new Apple products were stolen from the car around 3 p.m., June 8. The owner said she parked her car in her driveway for about 10 minutes with the intention of spending about 10 minutes inside the house before driving to the airport to pick up a family member. She returned and found the window shattered. She initially believed the window had been shattered accidentally by debris and began making arrangements for her family member to be picked up and for the car to be repaired. After such arrangements were made, she returned to the vehicle and realized items were missing from within. Missing items were reported to be the iPad and accessories purchased on the date approximately $1,000 total. Also reported missing was the caller's older iPad.

Scams
On June 5, a Crossway resident reported receiving a scam call, but she said she did not fall for it and hung up.

On June 6, a caller advised that her father might have fallen victim to an Internet
scam. The caller stated that her father made arrangements with a party purporting to be a representative of CVS pharmacy in Mamaroneck to have photographs printed. The caller states that she contacted CVS in Mamaroneck and they advised that they do not offer that service. The caller further advised that the party claiming to be from CVS would be responding to her parents' residence at 3 pm on this date. Police advised her to call police if someone arrived.

On June 9, a Chesterfield Road resident reported a scam phone call. The caller on the line tried to receive a monetary transaction through fraudulent means. The unknown calling party told the resident that her grandson was in trouble, and he needed $9,680 for legal services.

Help
On June 6, a walk-in party advised of concern for his adult son's wellbeing. The party advised that his son was operating a 2017 White Ford Escape equipped with a GPS. The GPS was indicating that the vehicle was in Scarsdale on Post Road, and the party was worried that his son may have had car trouble. A check of the calls over the past two days showed that police did not have any interaction with that party or vehicle. The reporting party advised that the GPS was malfunctioning and requested that police contact him if the department has any contact with his son.

A Fox Meadow Road woman complained that a woman was taking pictures of her house June 7. Patrol spoke with the caller who described that, after returning home from work, a woman was parked at the end of a nearby roadway taking pictures of her house. The caller stated that when she parked her car and began to exit it, the woman got into her own car and drove away. The caller understood it was not illegal to take pictures in a public space but felt the activity was suspicious. The caller said no factors that usually accompany this activity were present, such as a delivery being made or a nearby residence being listed for sale. The listed party provided a picture of the vehicle involved and a check of the registration came back to a nearby address. The woman taking pictures described by the caller matched that of the listed vehicle owner.

Cars and roadways
Verizon was notified about low-hanging wires on Sprague Road June 6.
Police advised workers to refrain from using a Franklin Road driveway to turn around June 8. On June 10, the homeowner stated she thought the trucks had damaged her driveway.

On June 8, police noticed a car with scofflaw status parked in Village center. The owner was advised to rectify and pay all outstanding parking fines immediately. The owner went to Village Hall and paid the fines.

An Olmsted Road resident was advised to trim branches of a tree overhanging the roadway June 10.

On June 10, police placed a cone in a Shawnee Road pothole and notified the highway department for repair.

On June 11, a Tompkins Road resident complained that a mobile car washing company was creating puddles of soapy water in front of her house. She said it was a hazard to walk to her vehicles, which were parked on the street. Patrol observed stains of dried water in front of her house and two very small puddles. Patrol observed the washing aftermath did not affect the roadway nor was not near any parked vehicle. Patrol also observed the resident’s driveway was not in use. The listed husband stated they utilize their driveway during the night, however, they prefer to park their vehicles on the street during the day. While on scene patrol observed both parties walk to their vehicles without incident. The listed complainant requested the car washing company "clean" the roadway with additional water. Patrol informed the resident and her husband that additional water would cause a hazard, and it is better for the water to continue to dry. Patrol spoke to the car-washing employee who stated the washing of neighbor’s vehicles was done, and in the future, they will clean vehicles in a driveway.

On June 11, a USDPS vehicle was parked, unoccupied on Chase Road, with its hazard lights flashing for approximately 12 hours. After 10 p.m., police turned off the lights and held the keys at headquarters for safekeeping. The postal agency was notified.

Six car accidents were officially reported in the Village this week.

Civil matter
On June 7, a Fenimore Road woman reported her neighbor’s tree removal contractors broke her basement door’s windows when debris hit it. Patrol observed the shattered windows along with debris from a tree stump. She stated the listed company acknowledged their fault in the matter and said they would compensate her.

On June 10, a Fox Meadow Road woman reported her neighbor cut branches on her evergreen tree. The complainant feels the tree was cut improperly. The complainant has been in contact with her lawyer in regard to this incident. It was suggested that the complaint consult with the Scarsdale Village Hall on this matter as they are better equipped and have a vast knowledge on this subject to remedy this civil incident.

On June 10, a Fox Meadow Road resident called police alleging intimidation by a neighbor. This resident stated that she recently had workers at her home cut back branches to an evergreen tree that hang over her property. She stated that the tree is on her neighbor's property. The complainant stated her lawyer contacted her neighbor about this tree. The complainant had also notified Village Hall about this tree issue and received a permit. Nevertheless, she felt intimidated by the neighbor who sometimes curses at her and alleges photographs the property. Her husband felt that the neighbor also calls police to intimidate them. Patrol reassured the resident that she can call SPD any time and police are there to help all residents.

An animal rehabilitator picked up an injured cat on Mamaroneck Road June 7.

Lost and found
A Fox Meadow Road woman reported losing her gold bracelet at the music festival in Village center June 5.

A purse containing a belt, utility gloves, gift cards and loyalty cards found on Post Road was given to police for safekeeping June 5.

Police notified the owner of a lost cell phone, found in NYC, about where the phone could be picked up June 10.

Village code
Kids swimming on Brite Avenue were asked to lower the volume of music after neighbors complained of noise June 5.

An illegally posted sign on Butler Road was removed June 5.

Police issued a summons to the company responsible for a youth solicitor going door to door on Brewster Road without a permit June 8.

On June 9, an organization was advised they needed a permit to solicit in the Village.

Police advised workers on Drake Road of allowable work times June 10.

Firefighters
On June 7, firefighters were called to investigate a smoke odor in Village Hall. Fire department crews investigated all levels of the structure with gas meters. There were only negative readings. Firefighters did however detect an odor of a petroleum-based product reminiscent of heating oil. This odor was traced to a utility room on the first floor that houses air handler equipment. Within this room, crews encountered a newly replaced fan motor. Upon inquiry, the building custodian stated that HVAC repair workers were working on the system throughout the day. Workers had replaced an air handler motor and lubricated seized bearings with oil. The project manager stated that he had questioned the workers concerning the odor upon repair completion and was advised that the odor would dissipate shortly. The project manager stated that he would follow-up on the odor the next day.

Stolen
On June 12, a Mount Vernon resident took a taxi from Fleetwood to Scarsdale. The fare was $24, The passenger paid with a $50 bill and the driver claimed to not have any change. The driver alleged he would return with the $26 in change. He never returned.
A Bradford Road woman reported a $30,000 pair of diamond earrings had been stolen from her house sometime in the past three years. She reported the incident June 14.
On June 18, a Stratford Road caller reported his $600 bike had been stolen from East Parkway.
On June 18, a Wayside Lane caller reported his bike had been stolen from Scarsdale High School.

Arrested
On June 13, Curtis Savage, 32, of Yonkers, was arrested on charges including an expired inspection sticker, a lapsed registration lapsed insurance and unlicensed driving. Savage also was shown to be wanted on a bench warrant issued out of Yonkers. He was later picked up by Yonkers police.

Identity theft
On June 12, a Westview Lane resident reported a fraudulent debit card and a fraudulent investment account had been opened in his name.

On June 12, a Tompkins Road resident reported that someone set up fraudulent accounts in his name at two separate banks.
Someone used a Fox Meadow man’s mother’s identity to open a fraudulent Venmo account June 13.

Criminal mischief
On June 14, an Innes Road woman reported returning to her parked car, a Honda CRV, and finding the rear window broken.

Disorderly conduct
A possibly intoxicated man put his hands on another man’s chest on Scarsdale Avenue and then caused a disturbance inside a local convenience store, asking employees and customers for money June 16.

Attempted burglary
At 2 a.m., June 15, a Highland Way resident reported someone with a flashlight attempted to open a rear door.

Welfare check
A sanitation worker asked police to check on an elderly Hutchinson Avenue resident whom had not been seen for several weeks and whose garbage had unusually not been placed outside June 12. Neighbors confirmed not seeing the resident. Police and firefighters entered the house to perform a welfare check. No one was found to be inside the house.

Police checked the welfare of a Carman Road woman who was determined to be OK June 14.

On June 15, a doctor’s office requested a welfare check of a Cooper Road resident. He was found awake in his bed. He declined any assistance.

Help
On June 12, police assisted other agencies conduct a search warrant of a Madison Road property. The house was neglected and was condemned by the Village.

On June 18, a mother reported her 9-year-old daughter had been at a function at the Girl Scout house and had been missing for 40 minutes. Police located the girl at a friend’s house and stood by until she was reunited with her parent.

Dispute
On June 13, an Edgewood Road man reported a dispute with a driver who parked outside his house. The driver allegedly made an offensive hand gesture to the man, due in part to the memory of a previous dispute over parking on the street in the same location. Police intervened and mediated the dispute. The driver said he would no longer park there, and the man requested extra police ridebys.

Civil matter
On June 18, a father came to headquarters to report that he gave his child a cell phone a few months ago, and the child’s mother took the cell phone away.

A Heathcote Road resident reported that his neighbor constantly allows his dog to defecate on his property June 18.

Cars and roadways
On June 12, a car was blocked in a Scarsdale Avenue parking spot. Police found the owner of the improperly parked car and asked the owner to move the car.
Police brought gasoline to a driver who ran out of gas near Murray Hill Road June 13.
Police called a tow for a disabled car on Heathcote Road and assisted a motorist with a disabled car on Olmsted Road June 13.
Police notified the highway department about tree branches on Crane Road June 13.
A dishwasher was placed on the side of Brewster Road for disposal June 13. Police wrapped it in caution tape.
A car was left running outside of Scarsdale High School June 13. Police turned off the ignition and then found the key fob inside the car’s cup holder. The car was again turned off; the owner was notified; and the key was given to the school secretary for safekeeping.
An Obry Drive branch was struck by lightning and fell to the street June 14. Police picked it up and notified Con Edison about fallen wires.
A fallen branch took down wires on Oak Lane June 15. Verizon and Con Edison were notified.
A branch fell on a Lincoln Road roof, taking down wires June 16. Verizon and Con Edison were notified.
Wires fell on Hampton Road June 16. Police contacted Verizon.
Police called a tow for a disabled vehicle on East Parkway June 17.
An Amazon driver accidentally locked himself out of his van on Cayuga Road June 17. Police stood by until a supervisor arrived on scene.
Police notified the highway department to assist someone with retrieving keys that fell into a storm sewer on Spencer Place May 17.

Animals
A turtle was reported on Depot Place June 14.

A loose white dog was picked up from Fenimore Road by New Rochelle Humane Society June 15. Later the owner called looking for the dog. Police referred her to NRHS.

TurtleArrested: A 14-year-old boy on a bicycle was struck by a car that left the scene at Crane Road and Woodland Place June 2 at 7 p.m. The driver – Bernards A. Mudho, 79, of Tewkesbury Road, Scarsdale – was later arrested after he contacted police to report leaving the accident. He was charged with leaving the scene of an accident and driving with broken glasses. According to the driver, the boy bicycled in front of his car while he was driving straight. Witnesses said the bicyclist had a green signal. The boy was transported to the hospital for treatment of injuries.

Burglary
A Post Road resident reported a person broke in through a rear door and left the house with jewelry, cash and a filing cabinet June 2.

Identity theft
On May 29, a Johnson Road man reported that an unauthorized withdrawal was made from his account at a bank in Jamaica, Queens on May 27. The perpetrator used a fraudulent driver’s license obtained earlier this month.

An Eton Road woman reported someone fraudulently opened multiple lines of credit in her name May 30.

On May 31, a Fox Meadow Road woman reported being the victim of a scam.

An Evon Court woman reported someone attempted to withdraw money from her account, but it was blocked by the bank June 1.

Stolen check
A Carman Road resident reported, on June 2, that a check mailed from the public mailbox at Nelson Road in April, had been stolen and altered. The original check was for $1,001.16. It was altered and cashed for $3,001.16.

Scam
Someone called a Penn Boulevard woman alleging to be a lawyer May 31. The “lawyer” claimed the woman’s daughter was in an accident due to texting and required a $15,000 to be released from jail on bond. The woman hung up and called her daughter who confirmed the call had been a scam.

On May 31, a Fox Meadow Road woman received a similar call and withdrew $15,000 from her bank. She gave it to someone alleging to be a representative coming to collect “bail” for a family member that had allegedly been imprisoned.

Suspicious
On June 2, a mother reported that her third-grade son was playing in a Roosevelt Avenue park when a gray minivan occupied by four teens pulled up to him. The teens asked the son if he had any money. Police canvassed the area but did not find the van.

On June 3, a person involved with events at a Post Road facility that is adjacent to a private residence reported a young man in his 20s has recently shown up at the facility, uninvited, for three private events Since May 23 and was seen walking around in areas in which he was not allowed. The man was asked to leave at the last event.

A woman taking photos of a Brookby Road backyard construction project was a neighbor’s mother-in-law who was visiting from a foreign country and admiring the work June 3.

Harassment
On May 31, a Brewster Road resident reported an incident of harassment. She said her neighbor has been recording her and her contractors while she is in her backyard.

On June 1, a Brite Avenue woman reported disturbing phone calls. The first call was received on May 29 at approximately 5:30 PM on her cell phone. The woman stated that when she answered this call, an unknown party asked if her children were ok. The listed reported that a second call was received on May 31 at approximately 5:30 PM on her cell phone. An unknown individual stated that her house was going to burn down within the next few days. A third call was made to her landline phone. The woman’s husband answered this call and was told he was going to die. All calls were received from a blocked number with no caller information given. The caller’s voice sounded like a man in his twenties. The woman did not report having any sort of altercation that would have motivated any individual to make calls of this nature.

Pedestrian hit
On June 2, a Village employee was struck by a car at Chase Road and Boniface Circle while exiting his parked car. The employee complained of pain in his elbow and numbness in his fingers and hand.

Cars and roadways
On May 29, a branch fell on Madison Road and took down wires. Con Edison was notified.
Police notified the water department of a water main break on Lebanon Road May 30.
On May 31, a woman called to complain about a “rude and aggressive” parking enforcement officer on Depot Place. Police advised how the woman could make a formal complaint.
Police stopped two rental trucks from entering the Bronx River Parkway May 31.
Police issued summonses to drivers whose cars were blocking passage on numerous Village streets June 1.
A UPS truck struck the gutter and roof overhang of a Brookby Road house June 2. The resident observed it on a Ring doorbell camera.
An Amazon truck struck and damaged drainpipes on a Weaver Street property June 2.

Help
A mother accidentally locked her car with her daughter inside on Mamaroneck Road May 31. Police and firefighters opened the car and the child was deemed to be in good health.

Police helped a person in a wheelchair free the chair’s wheel from gravel near Audrey Hochberg Pond May 31.

Civil matters
Brewster Road neighbors called about an ongoing civil dispute about their property line, surveillance cameras and alleged trespassing June 2. Police advised them to consult with their attorneys.

On June 3, a man told police he gave his son a cell phone and the boy’s mother took it away.

Brewster Road neighbors were arguing about a fence June 3.

Missing person
On May 31, a Kingston Road mother called police at 4:30 a.m. to report that her 22-year-old daughter was missing. At 7:52 a.m., police made contact with the daughter who said she would be contacting her mother.

Welfare check
An estranged son in Arizona requested a welfare check of his father, who lives on Kent Road, May 29. The father was in good condition. He explained the estranged relationship with his son and asked that police no respond to future calls of that nature, as he does not wish to be contacted by the son.

Police checked on a Palmer Avenue man who posted messages on social media
threatening self harm June 1. The man told police he was ok.

Homeless and panhandling
A man urinating on Mamaroneck Road told police he was homeless and trying to get back to Arizona, where he was from, May 29. He declined medical assistance.

A woman was panhandling for money by holding a sign outside a Palmer Avenue business May 29.The business manager asked police for assistance in getting her to leave. Citing store policy, police asked her to go, and she complied.

On June 3, police directed a homeless person to the train station from Popham Road.

Animals
On May 29, police provided a Hamilton Road resident with a list of animal trappers to address a disoriented raccoon in the yard.

A Cohawney Road resident found a loose dog May 29. Police reunited the dog with its owner, who lived two houses away.

A coyote was sighted on Brewster Road June 2. Police stood by until children were safely in school.

Police relocated a large turtle to a pond after it was found on Taunton Road June 2.

Two callers reported a sick raccoon, “spinning around in the road,” at Butler Road and Brite Avenue June 2. It was gone when police arrived.

A person heard a cat meowing inside the engine block of a parked car on Garth Road June 3. Police opened the hood to release the cat.

Village code
On May 29, police asked a Burgess Road homeowner to lower the volume of music because neighbors complained.

Police discarded illegally posted signs on Meadow Road and Palmer Avenue May 29, Cushman and Mamaroneck roads May 30, and Sycamore and Mamaroneck roads June 2. Summonses were issued, when appropriate.

Landscapers on Cushman Road were told to abide by designated work times in the Village May 30.

Police dispersed noisy kids from East Parkway May 31.
Neighbors complained about loud talking outside a Wakefield Road house May 31. The resident advised he would ask his guests to speak more softly.

Mamaroneck Road residents were asked to lower the volume of music May 31.

A caller complained of music noise near the trails around Depot Place May 31. Upon arrival, patrol could hear the faint sound of a musical instrument, perhaps a saxophone, emanating from the trails. Patrol then began to walk the platform of the Scarsdale Train Station where the volume of the music began to increase in intensity. At the end of platform, patrol observed a lone trumpeter playing his trumpet beneath the bridge of the BRP. The trumpeter stated he liked to play under this bridge because he didn't think anybody could hear the sound of his trumpet. The trumpeter then left the scene.

Police issued a summons to Woods Lane workers who started work too early and made noise June 3.

Brewster Road residents were asked to lower the volume of music June 3.

Fenimore Road residents were asked to lower the volume of music and conversation June 3.

Lost and found
A $900 saxophone was found in Village center after the Memorial Day parade May 29.

A Tompkins Road man reported losing his wallet in the Village June 2.

A passerby brought a found wallet to headquarters June 3. Police returned it to its owner.

Firefighters
On May 30, firefighters ventilated a Heathcote Road house to clear carbon monoxide. Con Edison arrived for evaluation.
