Stolen Packages: A Tunstall Rd. resident observed, via a doorbell camera, that a man wearing a black hoodie and black pants approached her doorstep and stole two packages Dec. 28. The man then left in an unknown vehicle.
Identity theft
On Dec. 26, a Fenimore Rd. resident advised that a Verizon account was opened in his name in October. It had an outstanding overdue balance of $279.53.
Domestic matter
A man called police to report that he was “about to return home” in Eastchester and was afraid about a possible physical altercation with his brother about the way the man had previously spoken with their father Dec. 27. The father advised that the brother had already left the location and does not live there.
Noise
A Wheelock Rd. resident reported hearing a “machine” noise in the house Dec. 24. Police determined the noise was coming from the house’s central vacuum system.
Help
A housekeeper allegedly locked herself out of her employer’s Rectory Lane house Dec. 27. Patrol attempted to contact the homeowner but was unsuccessful. Police advised the housekeeper of public places where she could wait for a ride back home.
Homeless
A homeless man was sleeping inside a Harwood Court lobby Dec. 28. Police advised him that he was trespassing on private property and would have to leave. He refused further assistance.
Cars and roadways
Police called a tow for a disabled car on the Bronx River Parkway and Crane Rd. Dec. 23.
Police moved a fallen cable wire off the street at Mamaroneck Rd. and Palmer Ave. Dec. 25.
On Dec. 27, police helped a driver relocate a disabled car to a safe location near Mamaroneck Rd. and Crossway while the driver waited for help for a flat tire.
Some fill material inside a low area of Weaver St. eroded from weather conditions, and police notified the highway department for repair Dec. 27. Cones were in place to alert drivers.
On Dec. 28, police removed debris from Weaver St. and Bypass.
On Dec. 28, police also conducted traffic around a disabled car at Popham Rd. while the driver waited for a tow.
On Dec. 26, police conducted a traffic stop at Post and Edgewood roads by using three patrol cars. They issued the 19-year-old Delaware driver 11 summonses. These includes the following: failure to obey a police officer, failure to stop at a stop sign, speeding, driving at a speed that was not reasonable and prudent, passing a red light, and improper passing on the right.
Village code
Police removed illegally posted signs from Fenimore Rd. Dec. 23. Police disposed of the signs and issued appropriate summonses.
Animals
A coyote was sighted in a Dickel Rd. yard Dec. 26. It appeared healthy and left when approached by humans.
On Dec. 29, a Haverford Rd. father reported that his eight-year-old daughter had been bitten by a dog on Quaker Ridge School grounds. The dog could not be identified.
On Dec. 29, a Meadow Rd. woman reported she was concerned about a large loose dog that had previously been seen in the area and on the grounds of Quaker Ridge School. Police referred her to the animal control officer for follow-up.
Lost and found
On Dec. 27, a damaged brown package without a delivery address was found at Mamaroneck Rd. and Palmer Ave. It contained a computer mouse and power cord. Both items appeared to be new. Police vouchered the property for safekeeping.
Firefighters
On Dec. 24, firefighters extinguished a chimney fire on Saxon Woods Rd. No injuries were reported.
A caller reported water was coming out of a Tisdale Rd. garage and pouring into the street Dec. 25. Firefighters entered the house and shut off the water. Police contacted the homeowner who advised that a plumber would be dispatched to do emergency repairs. Police stood by until the plumber arrived.
A water pipe burst at a Bradley Rd. house Dec. 26. Firefighters shut water to the house and advised the homeowners, who said they were returning to the house that day.
Water was observed to be leaking from the top floor of a Meadow Rd. house down to the basement Dec. 26. Firefighters shut water to the house and attempted to contact an owner but were unable to reach anyone. Due to the house appearing to be vacant, firefighters asked the water department to shut water to the house. They also called Con Edison to shut gas and electrical services to the house as a safety precaution.

Police Report: Connecticut Man Arrested for Drunk Driving and a Dispute at the Ambassador

Arrested: On Dec. 22, a 36-year-old New Milford, Connecticut, driver was arrested following a car accident at Post and Sherbrooke roads, with the driver’s 2013 Ram pickup truck facing the wrong direction. The driver was charged with intoxicated operation of a motor vehicle with a prior conviction, refusal to take a breath test and failure to yield the right of way to an emergency vehicle. The driver was released on his own recognizance and issued an appearance ticket for Village Justice Court for Jan. 8.
Stolen
A Village employee reported someone stole a Con Edison electric meter and master lock from a platform at Scarsdale High School on Post Rd. Dec. 18.
A scooter was reported to have been stolen from a Post Rd. location Dec. 20.
Identity theft
On Dec. 18, a Brookby Rd. resident stated that she had three unauthorized charges on her credit card. The amounts of the charges were $403.48, $467.10, and $330.63 – all made on Dec. 18. She already reported the charges to the credit card company and that they requested her to contact the police.
Scam
On Dec. 16, a Drake Rd. resident reported he had been scammed out of money. He said he received a call from a caller claiming to be from Coinbase. The caller stated the resident would need to move his crypto currency from his apple wallet app to another account, or else he would be at risk of losing his funds. The resident obliged and sent $1,657 USD from his virtual wallet into another wallet, which the caller provided the account number for. After sending the funds, the complainant realized it was a scam and contacted Coinbase Tech Support. Coinbase advised that they would attempt to refund the money, but they required police documentation of the incident to proceed.
Suspicious
On Dec. 17, a UPS driver called and stated two women driving a black Mercedes sedan stopped him three times trying to get a package that was being delivered to a Catherine Rd. house. The driver stated the women were not residents of the address. Patrol responded to the location and spoke with the homeowner who was unaware of the above.
On Dec. 17, a caller reported multiple people with flashlights on his Deerfield Rd. property. Patrol arrived on scene and observed a male leaving the location. Patrol spoke with the male who advised he was a HVAC worker and came to drop some equipment off for a job the next day. The male was able to access the locked residence with a key and showed patrol the mentioned equipment with his name and the address on the label. The man secured the residence prior to police departure.
A garbage bag with suspicious contours was examined by police and was determined to contain leaves Dec. 19.
Drones
Drone sightings were reported on Greenacres Ave. and above the Scarsdale water tower this week.
Doorbell
Three female youths rang a Griffen Rd. doorbell and ran away Dec. 21. The homeowner believed the girls might have been intoxicated.
Intervention
A Christie Place business employee was having an issue with an individual, and the individual complained to police Dec. 22. Patrol arrived at the location and spoke to the calling party who stated that he was told by an employee to stop standing in front of the listed location. Patrol spoke to the employee who stated that the calling party has been entering the store and saying disrespectful things to his employees and customers. He further stated that the calling party never purchases any food but instead just walks around the store. Patrol advised the businesses to call police next time the party returns to advise him that he is not to return as per the owner of the establishment.
Policy dispute
On Dec. 20, a Saxon Woods Rd. resident reported her husband was removed from the location against his will by location staff. Patrol arrived on scene and spoke with the nursing supervisor who advised that two of their residents “cannot sleep together due to a past dispute.” Patrol was made aware of a policy by The Ambassador “against couples and disputes” that states couples cannot sleep together until matters are resolved. Patrol then spoke with the calling party who advised that her husband was taken from her room and put in another room. The calling party was advised of this policy but insisted against it. Patrol was made aware of declined mental status of this party by her son-in-law over the phone. Patrol advised him of the situation, and he was understanding and stated he would speak with The Ambassador in regards. Prior to patrol's departure, a welfare check was conducted on the calling party's husband, and all was found in good order with him.
Help
On Dec. 17, police performed a welfare check of a Popham Rd. woman after her friend thought the friend’s breathing sounded labored during a phone call.
On Dec. 18, police helped a person get out of a stuck elevator in a Greenacres Ave. house.
Civil matter
On Dec. 21, a Clarence Rd. resident reported her landlord was at her location and would not leave. Upon arrival, police spoke with the resident who stated the landlord had just left the location. The resident stated that recently a home inspector found dangerous mold throughout the residence, and she reported the issue to the listed property owner. The resident stated that she let the landlord and the landlord’s daughter into the house to see the mold. The resident stated the landlord went on to take pictures of other areas of the residence, deny the presence of mold, and claim the tenant will be evicted on January 1. The resident stated this landlord then sat down and began using her computer and refused to leave.
Cars and roadways
On Dec. 16, police stood by at the site of a disabled car until a tow arrived to assist the driver.
Police called a tow for a disabled car on Popham Rd. Dec. 17.
A Sprague Rd. resident asked police to help block a driveway because a plumbing contractor had dug a trench in the driveway to do work, and the resident wanted to prevent any potential accidents Dec. 18.
Police removed fallen branches from Bypass Dec. 19.
A parked car with its lights illuminated on Leatherstocking Lane Dec. 20 was found to be occupied two people having a conversation.
On Dec. 21, a tree fell on Stratton Rd. Police notified the highway department for removal.
Six car accidents were reported in the Village this week.

On Dec. 17, police spoke with a Kelywynne Rd. nanny because the family dog was outside barking. The nanny brought the dog inside.

On Dec. 20, police removed an illegally posted sign from Catherine Rd. and disposed of it.
Lost and found
On Dec. 21, a cell phone and wallet were found at the Scarsdale train station. Police identified the owner and returned the property.
Firefighters
On Dec. 16, a Vanderbilt Rd. child accidentally got locked in a bedroom, and firefighters released the child unharmed.
Firefighters helped Scarsdale Volunteer Ambulance Corps with a Marjory Lane resident who fell at home and needed help Dec. 19.
Firefighters assisted at a car accident on Weaver St. Dec. 19.
On Dec. 20, three dogs were accidentally locked inside a car on Greenacres Ave. Firefighters opened the door and released the dogs.
Firefighters stood by for Con Edison at the site of a burning transformer on Old Lyme Rd Dec. 21.

Identity theft; On Dec. 4, a Depot Place business owner advised of a past fraudulent charge. The suspect who made the fraudulent purchases was suspected to be a 32 year-old NJ man.
Help
Police assisted EMS workers lift a 75 year-old patient on Lyons Road on Dec. 2.
On Dec. 7, a Harwood Court property manager requested help in getting a homeless man to leave the building. Police escorted the homeless man out of the building and transported him to the Oasis shelter in New Rochelle where he could spend the night.
Phone Scam
Police issued the following warning on Tuesday December 11, 2024:
The Scarsdale Police Department is warning residents about a phone scam targeting individuals in the area. Residents from three other municipalities have reported receiving fraudulent phone calls today from unknown numbers. The callers claim to be representatives of the Scarsdale Police Department and claim that the recipients have missed a court date in Scarsdale.
The scammers are using accurate titles and names of retired Scarsdale Police officers to appear legitimate. While the individuals who reported the calls recognized the scam and quickly hung up, preventing further interaction, it is suspected that the callers were attempting to solicit money to "resolve" the missed court issue.
The Scarsdale Police Department emphasizes that it will never contact residents by phone regarding missed court dates. If you receive a suspicious call claiming to be from the Scarsdale Police, do not engage with the caller. Instead, hang up immediately and contact the department directly at (914) 722- 1200 to verify any claims.
Residents are urged to remain vigilant and share this information with family, friends, and neighbors to prevent potential victims from falling prey to this scam. Policed removed a fallen wire from Post Rd. Dec. 3.
On Dec. 4, a 74 year old woman advised that a gray Malibu ran over her foot and left the scene at the church parking lot on Church Lane.
A Tuckahoe driver struck a pedestrian at Harwood Court and Spencer Place Dec. 4.
On Dec. 5, police found a key in the ignition of a parked car on Depot Place. They removed the key and returned it to its owner.
A car was idling for 45 minutes in a Brambach Rd. driveway Dec. 5. The driver told police he had a battery issue and did not want to turn off the car. Police advised about the no-idling Village code, and the driver said he would move the car momentarily.
Keys were locked inside a car on Rock Creek Lane Dec. 7. Police helped open the car without incident.
Police advised the highway department to clean up car debris and spilled trash from Bypass Dec. 7.
Village code
Police investigated a report of a large leaf pile blocking Paddington Rd. Dec. 3. It was measured to be 8 feet by 20 feet, and it was determined to be blocking a lane of traffic. They issued the homeowner a summons.
A Fox Meadow Rd. solicitor was told to carry a copy of the valid permit for solicitation when working in the Village Dec. 7.
An illegally posted sign was removed from Popham Rd. and discarded Dec. 8.
A Meadow Rd. resident complained of a large leaf pile, from various houses, on the street Dec. 8. It was protruding at least 8 feet into a traffic lane, and had branches mixed in. Police issued appropriate summonses.
Police issued a summons to the owner of an illegally posted sign on Huntington Ave. Dec. 8.
Police issued summonses to the homeowner on Meadow Rd. whose leaf pile was protruding at least 9 feet into the traffic lane.
Lost and found
On Dec. 3, a Brambach Rd. resident reported losing one of his license plates.
A laptop was found at Depot Place, and a passerby brought it to police for safekeeping Dec. 3.
On Dec. 5, a passerby found an iPhone on East Parkway and gave it to police, who returned it to its owner.
Firefighters
On Dec. 2, a contractor removed a furnace from a Mamaroneck Rd. house, cut Freon lines by mistake, and Freon accidentally leaked into this basement. Firefighters removed affected items, ventilated the basement and made sure the air quality was good before leaving.
On Dec. 3, firefighters powered down household HVAC equipment after it emitted a burning odor. They advised getting the equipment serviced by a professional technician.
On Dec. 3, a car accident involving a Tesla on Shore Rd. and Pelhamdale Ave., in New Rochelle, caused the Tesla to catch fire. Two occupants of the car died on scene. Firefighters assisted other jurisdictions.

Firefighters stood by for Con Edison at the site of a reported gas odor and possible leak on Crane Rd. Dec. 6.

On Dec. 7, firefighters were dispatched to a Tompkins Rd. house for reported smoke. The resident said he raked hot embers from an active fire in the fireplace into an ash pit that discharged into the garage. No smoke or extension was found. The ash pit “clean out” below the fireplace was intact and made of non-combustible materials. The resident raked hot ash onto the concrete floor in the garage.
On Dec. 7, firefighters stood by for Con Edison at the site of a gas leak at a gas fireplace inside a Nelson Rd. house. The appliance was shut down and service was recommended.

Police Report: Drones Sighted, Employees Report Stolen Credit Cards and a HAZMAT Incident

Drone activity: On Dec. 13, a Heathcote Rd. resident reported drones in the area and requested police to send a patrol car through the neighborhood. Police responded to the caller’s address, and the caller pointed out what were believed to be drones. “Said objects were flying large circles and passing by this jurisdiction's southwest border,” according to police. Dispatch was advised to make proper notification to NYS police. Two similar calls were additionally received.
Drones were also reported over Richbell Rd. Dec. 12 and 13.
A large drone reportedly flew over Highland Way and Palmer Ave. Dec. 14.
Increased drone activity was reported over Highland Way Dec. 15.
Stolen
On Dec. 12, Palmer Ave. employees reported stolen credit cards. Patrol spoke to employees who each discovered that they were missing a credit card from their wallets at the end of the previous day’s shift. The parties stated that their bags containing their wallets were left unattended in a break room during their shift. The parties believe that a temporary employee that had begun working at the business the previous date and who spent a lot of time in the room unattended may be the suspect. No persons or cameras witnessed the incident. The employees stated that they instructed the temporary employee not to return. The employees were not experiencing any financial loss, but they wanted to document the occurrence in the event of a future incident.
Stolen pipe
Brass piping was stolen from a Cooper Rd. construction site overnight Dec. 12 – 13.
Identity theft, scam
On Dec. 11, a Fayette Rd. man reported a fraudulent NYS driver’s license was created in his name.
A Horseguard Lane woman received an email requesting payment in the form of crypto currently. She felt it was a scam.
Home matters
On Dec. 12, Brite Ave. parents took away their daughter’s electronic device and requested that police speak with her since they felt she was being “aggressive.” Patrol arrived on scene and spoke with the mother in regard to her daughter’s electronic device usage. She advised that her daughter plays video games all day and they took away her devices to prevent this. The mother indicated that her daughter is currently doing online school and feels the games are getting in the way of that. Patrol then spoke with the daughter who advised that she enjoys school and has good grades but she enjoys the video games more. Patrol advised her that a better course of action to be allowed to play video games would be to get her work done first and set boundaries to not allow for future punishments. Patrol recommended to both parties to speak with a counselor for help.
On Dec. 13, a Mamaroneck Rd. woman called police asking her health aide to leave. The caller's son arrived at the location to resume care for the caller. Patrol provided a courtesy transport for the health aide to Central Taxi. It should be noted that the incident is a chronic occurrence.
On Dec. 13, police intervened in a dispute between parents and their son on Wayside Lane. Upon arrival, the mother and father stated they had a verbal argument with their son over possessing nicotine and vape products. The son stated the property belonged to his friend. The son stated he had the property because the friend did not want his parents to find it. Patrol advised the parents to contact the friend's parents and advise them of the above. Patrol advised the son to refuse to hold any property that belongs to someone else.
Death
A Hampton Rd. resident reported coming home to find her husband unresponsive, sitting in the back yard Dec. 12. It was determined that he had passed away.
A Saxon Woods Rd. resident died at home Dec. 15.
Customer
Bank employees at an East Parkway branch called police to help with a disorderly customer Dec. 9. Patrol arrived on scene and spoke with the male customer who advised he felt there was an issue with the statement he received after a transaction. He asked to speak with a manager and began to speak with a bank assistant manager. He was not happy with the answer he was given. Patrol then spoke with the assistant bank manager who alleged that the male was erratic during their conversation and asked him to leave. Patrol assisted the male in leaving the location. All parties were accepting of this result and no further assistance was needed.
Help
A doorbell was ringing continuously at 1:49 a.m., Dec. 11, at a Ferncliff Rd. house. Police checked it and found smoking wires. They disconnected it and alerted the fire department.
A Rectory Lane resident ported strange noises in her house and was fearful someone might be inside after 1 a.m., Dec. 14. Patrol made contact with the homeowner, who advised that he returned home and did not have his house key with him. He accessed the residence through a side door, which made the resident fearful that an unknown party was in the residence.
Lyft driver
A caller reported a dispute with a Lyft driver on Mamaroneck Rd. Dec. 13. The caller stated the driver had been pulled over for 5-10 minutes, and the caller had been unable to determine why or resume the ride due to a language barrier. The caller and driver all wished to cancel any further services and the ride. A courtesy ride was provided to passengers due to the extreme cold.
Civil matters
Police mediated a civil dispute between neighbors regarding a fence on the property line Dec. 10.
On Dec. 15, police mediated an ongoing dispute over parking between two Cohawney Rd. neighbors.
An East Parkway apartment dweller reported his neighbor has been slamming doors, and this disturbs his sleep Dec. 15. Police advised them to inform the landlord and work it out through the landlord.
Cars and roadways
On Dec. 9, police found a BMW with scofflaw status, for unpaid parking tickets, parked on East Parkway.
A woman parked and sleeping in a white SUV was asked if she needed any help Dec. 10. She was legally parked and said she was working with social services in an effort to obtain housing. She declined further assistance.
A driver alleged his car was damaged during valet service at an Overhill Rd. location Dec. 12.
A broken water pipe was causing an icing condition at Weaver St. and Bradford Rd. Dec. 15.
Three car accidents were officially reported in the Village this week.

On Dec. 10, police asked a Brewster Rd. resident to move a leaf pile from the roadway.
Firefighters removed illegally posted signs from Post Rd. and discarded them Dec. 12.

A contractor was asked to shut off construction generators at 9:30 a.m., Dec. 14, to abide by Village code Dec. 14.
Lost and found
On Dec. 10, a resident walked into headquarters and reported losing a license plate.
A Chesterfield Rd. resident reported losing two passports at home Dec. 11.
A man with a black sweater lying on a rock near Edgewood School grounds Dec. 15 said he was looking for a lost credit card. He declined assistance.
Firefighters
On Dec. 9, a Lawrence Rd. resident reported a sewer odor in the house. Firefighters detected a crack in the pipe and advised calling a plumber.
On Dec. 9, firefighters were called to a Hampton Rd. house for a gas investigation. Residents evacuated the house, and the fire crew found a chemical odor in the boiler room. It was determined that a concrete foundation had been pored and waterproofing materials had been applied to the new foundation on the exterior. A MultiRae detector was used, and 25ppm of VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) were detected in the basement, with amounts also detectable on the first floor and the second floor. The waterproofing product was determined to be “Sikalastic HLM 5000 GC.” Approximately 40 gallons were applied to the concrete foundation in the rear of house - outside the structure. The same odor in the basement was present in the rear where the waterproofing membrane was applied to the foundation. The weather was humid, with no wind. The vapors from the product entered the house through 2 crawlspace vents located on the side of the house. Firefighters contacted WCDES Hazmat representative to determine an acceptable level of VOC in the house for the residents to re-enter the house. The product description showed the permissible exposure limit to be .05 mg/M3 - which calculated to be approximately 2.5 PPM of VOC on the MultiRae meter. The structure, however, was above that in all floors. The Hazmat rep advised the residents to seek alternative shelter for the night. Firefighters advised them to contact the contractor to seal vents where VOC had entered the house through the crawl space. The residents were also advised to contact the fire department in the morning to re-monitor the house.
On Dec. 11, a Penn Blvd resident burned a potato in the microwave, and the device acquired an acrid smell. Firefighters recommended replacing it.
Firefighters were called about a small leak in a Dolma Rd. basement Dec. 11. The resident was advised to call a plumber.

Firefighters stood by for Con Edison at the site of a gas leak on Catherine Rd. Dec. 12.
On Dec. 12, a mercury thermometer broke on the floor of a Brite Ave. bathroom. Hazmat reps mitigated the spill and metered the house, deeming it safe for residents to stay inside.

Pedestrian Hit, Residents Locked in Closet and Another Coyote

Brite Avenue residents spotted this coyote in their yard this week.Stolen: A Spencer Place storeowner reported items had been stolen from the store Nov. 26. Two females – one described as “Asian” – are suspected of committing the crime. Police started investigating, and during the investigation, they discovered another theft had occurred. Namely, a pair of jeans had also been stolen.
A Scarsdale Ave. car rental company reported one of their vehicles had not been returned by the renter – a 23-year-old Bronx man – and it was past its return, date Nov. 27.
Scams
An Oakstwain Rd. man reported, on Nov. 25, that he had previously been scammed out of $9,800 when using a Bitcoin machine in New Jersey. He was asking police for help in restoring normal functionality of his computer, which he believed had been compromised in the scam.
On Nov. 29, a Wakefield Rd. resident reported she attempted to buy tickets for an event. She looked up a website and initially believed the one she found was the business's official website. While attempting to purchase tickets she was asked for information outside of the normal credit card information, and she stated a recording of her voice was taken. The caller said she did give some account information before becoming suspicious and ending the process. The caller stated she contacted her financial institution and put a hold on her associated accounts. She stated no fraudulent transactions had been attempted.
Mischief
Someone egged a Meadow Rd. resident’s car Nov. 27.
Markings
Police received a report of graffiti at a Brite Ave. platform court Nov. 25. Investigation proved the suspected markings were written in chalk and intended for a recreational game. The markings easily washed off with water.
Trapped
On Nov. 28, a caller reported that she heard a woman yelling from inside a Fenimore Rd. house that she was locked in the house on the second floor. Patrol responded to the location and met with the homeowner who stated that he and his wife had been trapped in the closet but were able to be let out by his mother.
Pain
On Dec. 1, a Bell Rd. woman asked to speak with police over “strange occurrences.” She said she was experiencing pain in her leg from what she stated was radio frequency radiation. She advised that she has been seeing her doctor on a constant basis and did not request any medical attention. No further police action was requested.
Address
On Nov. 25, a Putnam Rd. man advised he is getting strange mail addressed to a company that appears to be using his address without his consent. He said he bought items from this company – called “Alkivision” - a few times in the past. He said the company has not attempted to open any accounts under his name nor did any financial losses occur.
Firearms
A resident brought firearms to headquarters for safekeeping, and police vouchered them Nov. 25.
Cars and roadways
A 17-year-old Garth Rd. pedestrian was struck by a car at Popham Rd. and Depot Place Nov. 25. She was crossing in the crosswalk when the accident occurred. Police and firefighters blocked traffic until Scarsdale Volunteer Ambulance Corps arrived. The 64-year-old Mt. Vernon driver was not charged. EMS workers took the pedestrian to White Plains Hospital Center for care.
Police removed a disabled car from Post Rd. via tow Nov. 25.
On Nov. 26, a car was parked with its front tires on a Hampton Rd. lawn. Police contacted the owner and advised him of the parking violation and requested he move the car.
Verizon was notified about low-hanging wires on Catherine Rd. Nov. 26 and Highland Way Nov. 27.
On Nov. 26, an Amazon delivery driver was attempting to turn around in a Griffen Ave. driveway and accidentally put his van in reverse, causing it to get stuck in the resident’s lawn. His manager reported that Amazon would organize a tow and handle the matter.
A car rolled onto its side in a car accident at Popham Rd. and Church Lane Nov. 27.
A parked car on East Parkway was blocking traffic flow Nov. 28. Police instructed the owner to move it.
A car drove onto Hyatt Field and struck a wooden gate in an apparent car accident at 3:19 a.m., Nov. 29.
A disabled car was removed from Palmer Ave. by tow Dec. 1.
Four car accidents were officially reported in the Village this week.
Animals
A coyote was spotted on Brite Ave. Nov. 29. It appeared to be in good health.
Village code
Police issued summonses to landscapers for using gas-powered leaf blowers on Brite Ave. Nov. 25 and Mamaroneck Rd. Nov. 30.
On Nov. 28, Police removed improperly posted signs from the Village right of way on Haverford Ave. And issued summonses, as appropriate.
A Kensington Rd. resident was told to lower the volume of music after neighbors complained of noise Nov. 28.
Landscapers were using a noisy wood-chipping machine during prohibited hours on Lincoln Rd. Dec. 1. Police issued a summons.
Lost and found
A Fox Meadow Rd. resident reported losing a driver’s license Nov. 29.
A passerby found a wallet on East Parkway Nov. 29. Police returned to wallet to its owner.
Firefighters
On Nov. 25, firefighters helped rescue a person trapped in a below-grade trench inn Chappaqua.
On Nov. 27, firefighters assisted at a two-car rollover accident at Church Lane and Popham Rd. No serious injuries were reported.
